Important Sizing Guidance: This valve features a socket (female) opening with an inner diameter of ~48mm. This allows two potential installation methods: For 1-1/2" nominal PVC pipe (actual OD ≈ 48.5mm): The pipe inserts into the valve socket — this is the standard, recommended method. For 2" nominal PVC pipe (actual OD ≈ 60.3mm): The valve can be slid over the pipe end if needed (e.g., in retrofit or custom setups), though minor smoothing of the pipe may be required for a proper glue joint. Always verify your existing pipe’s outer diameter with a tape measure or caliper to ensure compatibility. When in doubt, choose based on your system’s nominal size (1-1/2" vs. 2"). Note: Valve only. PVC cement and actuator not included. Q: “Will this work on my 2-inch pipe?” A: “Yes, if your pipe’s outer diameter is about 60mm, the valve can slide over it (may need light sanding).
